The 1996 Retro Nuptse down gilet features a boxy silhouette and shiny ripstop fabric. It incorporates oversized baffles to minimise down shifting and is filled with 700-fill goose down. A water-repellent finish provides protection, while the three-piece hood stows into the stand collar. The design includes an exposed front zip, diagonal hand pockets, and the ability to pack the entire piece into the right hand pocket.:
