The GEL-Kinetic FR sneaker features a modernised tooling system combined with archival design elements. Synthetic quarter-panels are paired with a feather lasting silhouette on the upper. An updated Scutoid GEL technology structure is integrated into the sole unit, with cushioning pods positioned directly underfoot. The forefoot construction includes a thick socklining in place of an exposed midsole.:
