The garment is the result of careful workmanship carried out by expert craftsmen in numerous steps: each individual element, reminiscent of the shape of shells, is crocheted and embellished with a shower of sequins of different shapes and sizes, so that light can be refracted to create delicate touches of sparkle with mother-of-pearl hues. Each element is then assembled by hand onto a mesh base, giving each creation unique, one-of-a-kind characteristics. Approximately 27 hours of work are needed to make each individual piece.:
