The piece contains Oleatex™, a next-gen material that is part of our Fabrics of the Future initiative. Oleatex™ is an innovative alternative to synthetic materials, crafted using byproducts of olive oil production to form a bio-based polyurethane (PU) top coating bonded to a cotton, viscose or recycled polyester backing. Fabrics of the Future is a programme set up in 2019 by GANNI to research, test and eventually scale innovative materials that challenge conventional material methods, paving the way for the future of fashion.:
